Primary Purpose:

To provide technical assistance to all district personnel to ensure the effective use of technology.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

High school diploma or GED

Technical experience or technical training

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Comprehensive understanding of PC hardware and software, along with general networking understanding.

The ability to communicate with end users and vendors.

Experience:

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  1. Maintain and troubleshoot PC's in a windows environment, including hardware, software, printing, and network connectivity issues (both wired and wireless).
  2. Assist in PC Imaging processes.
  3. Maintain and troubleshoot other technologies, such as surveillance systems, phones, and projection systems.
  4. Work with vendor tech support for solutions to problems.
  5. Assist in the installation/troubleshooting of LISD's WAN and LAN.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Working Conditions:

Mental Demands:

Ability to function in a fast paced and stressful environment.

Equipment Used:

Phone, two-way radio, personal computer, printer, fax machine, and other computer peripherals.

Physical Demands:

High level of energy required. Climbing, stretching, and frequent lifting of technology equipment required. Effective communication, sometimes prolonged and irregular hours, and occasional out-of district travel.
