Description

This position is mainly responsible for providing application support for the Health Information System (HIS) department. Identifies, researches, and resolves helpdesk tickets. Responsible for escalating unresolved issues to the HIS System Administrator or the application vendor as needed. Identifies any gaps in user knowledge and may provide system training as appropriate.

Essential Functions:

  1. Serves as level 1 support for the Organization's Health Information System (WellSky) to include answering tickets, and basic trouble shooting.
  2. Supports the WellSky system administrator in tasks including but not limited to setting up new users, quality assessment, running reports, training guides, etc.
  3. Supports monthly system upgrades of the WellSky application.
  4. Serves as interface data analyst; monitoring and maintaining the function of any interfaces related to WellSky. This includes working all reported issues and error associated with the interface(s), troubleshooting, quality assurance and documentation of each interface.
  5. Works collaboratively with the IT department to ensure that the systems are accessible to all stakeholders.
  6. Consistently demonstrates a service-oriented mindset by providing excellent internal/external customer service. Develops and maintains good interpersonal relationships and partnerships with all departments at the Company.
  7. Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct, and communications always represent the Company in a highly professional manner.
  8. Completes other assigned.
  9. Serve in a rotation for afterhours support schedule.


Requirements

Educational / Experience Requirements:
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in EMR application support, and customer service preferred.


Qualifications / Skills:
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems with ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with physicians and other clinical staff.
  • Demonstrates strong computer skills to navigate MS office products and electronic compliance software solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Work Environment:Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
