As a Full-Stack Developer (R&D Engineer II), you will work on impactful projects supporting our Digital Twin Team, with a special focus on investigating and developing novel functionalities for our Digital Twin solutions. These projects involve extending existing simulation capabilities, supporting DevOps infrastructure for our products, and testing and documenting new features.

This position is based on the Ansys HQ in Canonsburg.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in researching and developing solutions for efficient Digital Twin creation, simulation, validation, and deployment.
  • Participate in research, development, testing, and validation of the Digital Twin simulation engine to ensure reliability and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of comprehensive, user-friendly software systems.
  • Participate and contribute to software security related topics for on-prem and cloud scenarios
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, and 2 years of experience.
  • Technical knowledge and commercial experience with TypeScript, web development, scripting languages, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience in developing web solutions and applications.
  • Programming experience in Python, with exposure to either Java or C++.
  • Familiarity with automation testing scripts using Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a tenacious approach to challenges.
  • A collaborative team player who is responsible and self-motivated.
  • MUST BE LOCATED NEAR ANSYS HQ (CANONSBURG, PA) / HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MS Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of numerical methods. For example, numerical integration, differential equations, and algebraic equations
  • Knowledge of systems theory e.g. control systems, system dynamics, and state-space models and basic simulation principles.
  • Familiarity with modern web development and experience with frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular.
  • Basic knowledge of software testing concepts such as unit testing and black-box testing.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, including microservice architectures and RPC frameworks.
  • Experience with Docker management, including container creation, maintenance, and deployment.
  • Understanding of the entire software development process, from specification and documentation to quality assurance and testing.
