Local Delivery Driver
Job Description:
What You'll Do:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to make local pick-ups and deliveries at various warehouses and customer locations. Home daily position, 1st shift, with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 6 am to 4 pm, and rotating Saturdays required.
- Earn $24 per hour, plus weekly pay, health benefits, vision, dental, 401K, paid time off (PTO), and quarterly safety bonuses.
- Serve as a point of contact for product deliveries and acceptance, and relay relevant information between the company and its customers.
- Strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and maintain all appropriate paperwork, such as bills of lading and invoices.
Experience and Education Needed:
- Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and 2 years' CDL A experience required.
- No recent convictions for driving under the influence or preventable accidents.
- No more than four moving violations in the past 36 months, and no recent serious or disqualifying traffic violations.
What Could Set You Apart:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience with refrigerated (reefer) trailers and strong customer service skills.
- Good written and verbal communication, basic math, and ability to interpret driving directions and road signs.
