Pediatrix has an excellent opportunity for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist on the central California Coast Seeking an additional Board Certified MFM Specialist to join our well-established practice in Santa Barbara, CA.

Job Description:
  • The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, have strong clinical skills in both inpatient and outpatient Perinatology, and strong sonography and prenatal diagnostic skills.
  • Consultative-only practice with one office location
  • Based out of a 400-bed state-of-the-art Level-I Trauma Center with a Level-III NICU and helicopter transport service
  • Group provides prenatal diagnostic procedures including ultrasounds, amniocentesis, CVS and fetal echocardiography.
  • Group works collaboratively with OB Hospitalists.
  • Fully staffed there are 2.5 MFMs.
  • Days in the office, Monday though Friday, and on-call at night (mostly phone coverage) every third
  • Candidates must have strong ultrasound skills (limited sonographer support in this practice).
  • Research opportunities exist with an affiliation with the University of California Santa Barbara.
  • Completion of Fellowship is required - new grads are welcome to apply

Requirement description :

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (0-5 years from residency) in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (0-5 years from residency) in Maternal-Fetal Medicine subspecialty - REQUIRED
  • CA License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • Fellowship-trained (to be completed prior to start, note in "Experience" field) - REQUIRED
  • Inpatient and outpatient Perinatology experience (note in "Experience" field) - REQUIRED
  • Strong ultrasound/sonography and prenatal diagnostic skills (note in "Experience" field) - REQUIRED
