Job Summary:
We are searching for a skilled Cognos Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Oakland, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for working with customers to understand their reporting needs and develop solutions using Cognos BI tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with customers to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Design and develop reports and dashboards using Cognos Framework Manager and Report Studio.
  • Manage and maintain existing Cognos reports and ensure data accuracy.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries to retrieve data from Microsoft SQL Server 2019 databases.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Cognos features and best practices.
  • Develop and implement new Business Intelligence solutions using MS Power BI (desirable skill).

Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of experience in Business Intelligence or related field.
  • Strong experience with Cognos BI, including Framework Manager and Report Studio.
  • Proven experience with SQL Server 2019 and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with MS Power BI.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent understanding of data visualization best practices.
