Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with surgical critical care/acute care surgery. This position requires an active ATLS.

Role Requirements:

  • Trauma and Acute Care Surgery MD or DO Inpatient with Outpatient follow-up
  • Board Certified or Board Eligibility required
  • Must possess/ability to obtain a Florida Medical License
  • Call coverage is five, 24-hour call sessions per month

    • Ages treated 16-years-old to geriatric

The 480-bed Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital was founded in 1910. It was acquired October 1, 2020 by Orlando Health, a private, not-for-profit healthcare organization with $9.6 billion of assets under management. The hospital s areas of clinical excellence include heart and vascular, surgical services, rehabilitation services, neurosciences, maternity care and as home to the only state-accredited Level II Adult Trauma Center in St. Petersburg region emergency services and trauma care.

Work Experience:

  • Work-life balanced schedule.
  • Patient census. Expect to see 25+ patients per day utilizing the efficiency of EPIC, electronic health record system.
  • Clinic support team. Includes one dedicated medical assistant (MA) per provider and a nurse is shared with other clinics, check in and check out, front office assistant and an APP accompanies the doctor during clinic.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment with like-minded physicians in an office housing primary care providers and specialists throughout our network.
  • Inpatient Support. Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health has a team of Hospital Medicine physicians to support inpatient and long-term care patient needs.
  • Clinic utilization. You will have the opportunity to practice medicine as it should be and utilize all of your clinical skills.
