Mountain View, United States Willow Full time

At Willow Innovations, Inc., our vision is to create a better world for moms. We are focused on identifying where moms need support in the motherhood journey, and building hardware- and software-based solutions around their needs.

In 2014, we created the first-ever cord-free Willow™ Wearable Breast Pump, revolutionizing the industry. Fast forward to today, we are building a portfolio of physical and digital products to solve mom's most meaningful problems and improve their lives.

Willow Innovations, Inc. sits at the unique and exciting intersection of HealthTech, FemTech, Consumer Goods, and Med Device. Our potential for scale and impact is extraordinary—we’re just getting started.

We’re looking for talented, passionate team players to help us deliver our mission and vision. If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you

Internship Overview:

The Engineering team at Willow is responsible for researching, designing, and developing innovative solutions for maternal health and breastfeeding. We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who is interested in women’s health and FemTech, to join us in creating products that re-define the mom-experience. You will gain technical experience supporting connected medical and consumer products, and partner closely with multiple engineering teams from the beginning (concept) to the end (field returns) of a product life cycle. You will also have the opportunity to connect with other interns and dive deeper into the world of women’s health and research.

If you have a passion for constant learning, innovative engineering products, and joking around with your co-workers, you will fit right in

What you’ll do:

  • Test and characterize new product features and design changes
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Develop, execute, and document test procedures and results
  • Data analysis to evaluate product performance and reliability
  • Develop and execute tests, and present results to a cross functional audience
  • Design and/or qualify test fixtures and equipment
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to improve product reliability

What you’ll bring:

  • Pursuing an engineering discipline in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering or equivalent
  • Capable of driving forward deliverables with minimal guidance
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Ability to use statistical tools and apply engineering concepts to failure analysis
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with programming (MATLAB or Python) is a plus
  • Dynamic engineer with a “can do” attitude and hunger to learn
