About You

The Inventory Management & Control Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing data collection and reporting methods in order to analyze inventory level, location, and demand. You will provide strategic recommendations to the Branch Director and Warehouse Manager on items related to customer service, labor efficiency, space management and business financial performance. You will also act as a resource for various software programs for the Branch Director and Warehouse Manager.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for identifying inventory patterns through detail data analytics (using GIS, A3, SAP, Excel) including, but not limited to: item yearly turns, season velocity of turns by items, physical location classifications (ABC) and item turn classifications of ABC, part number hit rates, replenishment rates and other analytics.
  • Work with Branch Management on annual and monthly unit, accessory, and parts sales planning to ensure inventory availability and to minimize wasted stock by determining optimal inventory levels and replenishment plans.
  • Create and review weekly B/O reports out of SAP.
  • Responsible for improving branch sales and inventory intelligence by developing and implementing routine reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) to track, analyze, and forecast storage capacity and inventory levels.
  • Develop requested reports for Branch Management.
  • Utilize GIS, A3, SAP, and Excel to track and analyze sales and inventory data.
  • Assist in maintaining price files and analyzing branch selling price and margin for all units, parts, and accessories
  • Allocate, processes, update, and review demo stock for field, in house demand, and virtual warehouses.
  • Works with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement strategic inventory/operational and service plans, including placing orders with outside vendors.
  • Responsible for maintaining warehouse database(s) with respect to part or accessory changes for use in customer communication and internal references which includes all supersedes, new items, eliminate old items, usage, descriptions and interchange of product, inventory adjustments and master data classification of every sellable whole good, part and accessory in the inventory as needed.
  • Work closely with Virginia Beach and other branches on maintaining pricing, harmonization on products and parts.
  • Create Spring Booking program through booking website to run reports to review inventory levels, orders and ship dates. Report data to sales team and warehouse and allocate and release the booking orders to the warehouse.
  • Functions as subject matter expert, providing coaching and mentoring to related areas of the organization.
  • Acts as a resource for programs such as SAP, GIS, A3, Excel, CRM, Booking website and other systems.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Possesses strong statistical and analytical skills.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access.
  • Ability to learn new software programs.
