The Onsite Technical Support Specialist in Retail Warehouse for our client's peak season. This position provides critical technical assistance to company users of information resources. Day Shift Hours 6am - 430pm
Night Shift Hours 430pm - 6am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and resolves hardware, software, networking, and handheld scanner issues.
- Coordinates activities to support user training and assistance requests across all programs.
- Monitors support efforts, providing periodic assessment reports to management with status updates and recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborates with users and IT personnel to develop new approaches or alternatives for improving user support efficiency and effectiveness.
- Trains users in new company-provided applications and assists with problem-solving for application issues.
- Maintains detailed records, logs, and reports of user assistance and technical support activities.
- Ensures network and PC preventive maintenance is conducted to maintain data and network integrity.
- Tests new software applications and recommends purchases as required, while training technical staff on new tools.
- Develops and documents operational procedures for the IT department.
- Installs and manages network cables, ensuring proper cable management and organization.
- Configures and sets up computers and printers in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Two-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience providing technical support in a warehouse environment, including working with handheld scanners.
- Experience supporting WMS Software (Warehouse Management System)
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
