Responsable de veiller a ce que les reglementations douanieres americaines et canadiennes soient respectees lors du traitement des documents d'importation et d'exportation afin de faciliter le mouvement des colis transfrontaliers. Communiquer avec les destinataires, les expediteurs et les courtiers pour dedouaner les expeditions, fermer les entrees, resoudre les problemes de paperasserie et les retenues douanieres.

Essential Functions

  • Complies with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) for on-site package examinations, shipment hold requirements and shipment clearance.
  • Researches issues on CBSA bonded shipments that are on hold at Gateway (can include communication with consignee, shipper and/or broker).
  • Researches CBSA tracers and responds with clearance information.
  • Reviews and verifies shipment information for the United States Customs and Border Protection (USCBP).
  • Manages inbound and outbound calls to resolve paperwork issues (including duties and taxes), clear shipments and close entries.
  • Performs routine data entry and directs commercial invoices through Genesis System to brokers as part of the clearance process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bonne comprehension des termes techniques et administratifs relatifs aux reglementations americaines et canadiennes en matiere d'importation et d'exportation.
  • Excellentes competences organisationnelles et une grande attention aux details.

En plus des facteurs habituels faisant partie du processus de selection, tout candidat a un poste exigeant la conduite d'un vehicule comme competence de base doit posseder un permis de conduire valide (p. ex. de classe 5, G, ou 1 AZ) et un dossier de conduite affichant un maximum de deux infractions et / ou accidents au cours des 24 mois precedant la date de candidature. Les candidats feront en outre l'objet d'une evaluation basee sur l'examen approfondi :

  1. de leur dossier de conduite courant,
  2. des resultats de leur entrevue et
  3. des resultats de toute evaluation de leurs competences de conducteur.
