My very best client, an OEM/manufacturer of industrial pumps, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Application Sales Engineer with a proven track record in the industrial pump sector. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service, managing orders and bids, and providing technical support to clients within these specialized industries. A bit about the company:
  • They service industrial plants, commercial buildings, chemical plants, power stations, water, and sewage treatment plants.

The skillset:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as an Application Engineer or as an Inside Sales Engineer working for a pump manufacturer or distributor, engineering calculations on products.
  • Leveraging an in-depth understanding of industrial pumps to offer expert advice on product applications, technical specifications, and tailored solutions.
  • Client Engagement: Initiate proactive communication with clients via phone and email.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a knowledgeable customer resource, addressing inquiries, providing comprehensive product information, and effectively resolving technical concerns related to industrial pumps.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team to align customer needs, contribute technical insights, and enhance overall account management strategies.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information, pricing details, and order records in the system.
  • Sales Support: Assist outside salespersons by providing relevant information from customer interactions. Contribute to the refinement of sales strategies and strengthen customer relationships.
