Who we are

North Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinary receptionist to join our team. We offer a competitive salary, health benefits, 401K, paid time off, and much more. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Answer telephone system, take accurate messages, and transfer telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner.
  • Greet and screen incoming clients in a friendly, professional manner and promptly notify the appropriate person of their arrival. Record chief complaint or reason for appointment in medical records.
  • Schedule client appointments and animal boarding
  • Call clients with appointment reminders, overdue notices, and follow-ups as requested by doctors. Print recall list and make phone calls.
  • Check-in/out clients and collect appropriate payments.
  • Audit all animal vaccinations ensuring accurate records
  • Enter all daily invoices into the hospital's database
  • Type correspondence and memorandums in proper format and assign to animal records.
  • File, update and maintain all medical records per hospital requirements.
  • Print medical labels and apply to prescriptions as needed
