Under the supervision of the Director of Student Affairs Marketing & Communications, they will be responsible for telling stories around campus via creative content. This position will oversee the general direction of divisional social media messaging through creating and managing social mediacontent, monitoring interactions on divisional social media accounts, designing printed and digital media, documents, and publications, shooting and editing photography and videography for campus events, and assisting with in-person and virtual events to promote Student Affairs and its units. Successful candidates will be attentive to details andassignment guidelines and goals, and have the ability to multi-task, work on quick deadlines, and manage their time effectively. This position will also supervise undergraduate student employee(s). Essential Functions Run departmental social media accounts. Create messaging, curate news and manage all published content (images/video/text). Promote UC and departmental accomplishments on social communities by developing relevant content topics to reach target audiences. Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts. Support marketing, awareness and reputation campaigns by mapping out a comprehensive marketing plan for social media. Implement strategies proven by testing and metrics. Analyze and report on the effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results. Compile weekly and monthly reports for management illustrating effort and impact results (ROI). Measure and analyze ROI, analyze key metrics, and recommend tweaks to strategy as needed. Analyze data to optimize content and placement as well as identify areas of opportunity. Lead generation including cultivation of leads for the business community. Create, manage and optimize lead generation campaigns. Maintain editorial calendar to maximize exposure and cohesion. Support accessibility as an advocate and expert for Section 508 and ADA compliance and creating an inclusive environment on our social media channels. Monitor and report risk by identifying threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the university and department. Report notable threats to appropriate management. Monitor brand mentions, identifying and limiting risks (including campus emergencies, student/faculty/staff harm or dissent, customer service needs, etc.).
