Job Description

The Firm is seeking an experienced Investment Grade sales persons to join its Institutional Fixed Income Group. Successful applicants can be based in either the Firm's New York headquarters or other regional offices, including Chicago, Alanta and Boston.

Members of the Investment Grade sales team will work with our trading desk to facilitate corporate bond trading. He/she will also be expected to communicate desk axes to clients, cultivate client relationships and collaborate with traders.

The successful candidate will have established relationships with institutional corporate bond buyers, especially qualified institutional buyers, and a history of successful revenue generation. Compensation will be tied to revenue generation.

Qualifications:
  • Three years+ of experience in IG bond sales with a strong focus in fixed income securities
  • Strong existing client relationships, with history of consistent revenue generation
  • Demonstrated history of successfully cultivating new institutional client relationships
  • Excellent understanding of Corporate Bonds and Fixed Income products
  • Ability to sell, analyze, use market data and investor feedback to formulate trading ideas
  • Outstanding leadership skills; track record of success and high performance
  • Delivers clear, effective oral and written communication
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • FINRA Registrations: Series 7 and 63 licenses required (within 90 days of hire).

Compensation:

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation for this position will comprise of a base salary set at the applicable minimum wage salary as per the City of New York and an attractive commission structure based upon revenue generation by salesperson.
