Maxim Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school nursing team in Denver. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on the lives of children by providing essential healthcare services in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate student care.

  • Provide skilled nursing care/services in accordance with prescribed orders.

  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in student's condition.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from health care members and document nursing diagnoses.

  • Coordinate services between the school, health agencies, and community resources.

  • Communicate with school district personnel, parents, and physicians regarding student's plan of care.

  • Report changes in student's condition to appropriate parties.

  • Collaborate with school staff and health agencies to address student's health needs.

  • Ensure student safety at all times.

  • Adhere to Maxim Healthcare and school district policies.

  • Support professional practice by adhering to nursing standards and regulations.

  • Participate in student care conferences and IEPs.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Colorado.

  • At least one year of professional experience preferred.

  • Complies with professional standards and practice.

  • Completion of Maxim's Competency program.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable).

  • Current health certificate.

  • Adheres to federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Successful completion of new hire training.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Computer proficiency.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
