JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • 12 weeks - required ONS chemo/immuno provider certification and OCN certification is preferred; 0800-1700 varying start / end times; No Weekends or Holidays; Must be able to administer chemotherapy; will need to travel to sites within 40 miles when needed

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Minimum three years of Oncology RN experience
  • Active unencumbered New Jersey RN state license
  • Chemo Certification

  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
