Job Description
Job Title: Oncology Nurse

Job Specialty: Oncology Nursing

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Flexible to days/evenings/nights & weekends

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of oncology nursing experience

License: Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state or territory

Certifications:
- Current and valid BLS, ACLS Certification by the American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Provider Card

Must-Have:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Hands-on experience in all routes of infusion therapy, including peripheral lines, PICCs, implanted ports, and other central venous access
- Familiarity with different chemotherapy regimens

Job Description:
- Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals following a diagnosis and through all stages of treatment
- Responsible for providing medical oncology and other infusion treatments
- Educate patients regarding their treatments and ensure continuity of evidence-based nursing care for those undergoing chemotherapy
- Assess health-related needs and the nursing needs of patients, their families, and other caregivers
- Identify and initiate appropriate steps for effective care
- Collaborate with a diverse community of medical providers, including surgeons, general medical officers, internal medicine, and other specialists
- Work within a culturally rich environment serving various Native American tribes and other community members
- Required to cover holiday shifts as needed
- Must complete orientation every two weeks only
- Strict compliance with all health and safety protocols regarding COVID-19 is mandatory; medical exemption requests undergoing approval from a medical review board
