About the Role

As our Manufacturing Development Engineer II, you'll play a crucial role in creating, maintaining, and enhancing our manufacturing processes, standards, and systems. You'll be at the forefront of new product development and deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement cutting-edge manufacturing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical Engineering, Product Management, Drafting, Tooling Design, Compliance, Quality, and Production) to develop products that maximize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
  • Optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and documentation to enhance productivity and product quality
  • Provide technical guidance and support across departments, integrating new technologies and methodologies into our manufacturing processes
  • Ensure product quality meets stringent standards and work with Quality teams to address any issues
  • Develop functional prototypes and samples for customer approval and product testing
  • Perform cost engineering functions, including estimating, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Conduct time studies to optimize production processes
  • Support the Product Lifecycle Engineering team with configurable fast tracks, change management, and low-volume production
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar role
  • Strong expertise in mechanical and electromechanical systems/assemblies design
  • Experience in product evaluation and manufacturing process optimization
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in rebuilding processes, guidelines, and standards for operations (preferred)
  • LSSBB certification is a plus
  • Product development experience is highly desirable
