Job Duties
- Positively contribute to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience in the GI Lab.
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Prepare patients for procedures and monitor their condition periodically
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Perform quality rounds on medications and supplies and other equipment as applicable
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required (AHA)
- Prior Critical Care/Emergency Department and conscious sedation experience highly preferred. Medical Surgical with telemetry monitoring experience preferred
- Day Shift with varies start times, rotating hours
- On-Call responsibility - 1-2 days/week, and 2-4 weekends shifts in 6-week schedule
- Travel to different NorthShore sites at times
