Compensation:
Min: $146,130- Max: $207,409.95 / Exec 1358
Responsibilities:
This position provides executive oversight of the Department of Subways $5 billion annual operating and reimbursable budgets, leads implementation efforts for major financial initiatives, and manages performance reporting. The incumbent directs the development of each division's financial operations including evaluation of expense results and recommending corrective actions. Oversees the development of analytic models and process optimization to improve budgeting and forecasting procedures, availability goals, and hiring plans. Responsible for the $300 million annual Subway Action Plan, including development of programs, monitoring spending and production, and recommending changes to the program. Provides executive oversight of Subways portion of the $500 million Fiscal Baseline Reset budget reduction program. Provides executive-level guidance to the Vice President, Operations Support and SVP, Subways.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in business administration, finance, transportation management, or a satisfactory equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience from an accredited college can be considered in lieu of a degree
Twelve (12) years of full-time related experience and seven (7) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity
Desired Skills:
Extensive knowledge of budget preparation, financial analysis, and performance reporting. Extensive experience with Subways hiring, policies, and procedures. Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict among high-level executives regarding financial and operational issues.
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
