This position is being offered in Albuquerque. This is a full-time position at 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

The Accountant role will be responsible for:

• Assisting in implementing a new accounting system

• Disseminating information and working with two other Finance Dept staff members

• Overseeing the annual budgeting process

• Creating monthly statements with summaries on business status

• Maintaining the general ledger, and allocating costs to appropriate contracts

• Working closely with our CPA firm on monthly and quarterly financial reporting and analysis of how the business is performing

• Weekly reports to the CEO

• Working with an outside CPA firm that performs annual audits

• Upholding state and federal requirements

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's degree preferred

• 5 or more years of experience in accounting, prefer not-for-profit experience

• Experience in allocating costs and earnings to individual contracts

• Experience leading teams positively while holding people accountable

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office

• Detail-oriented and organized

• Excellent follow-through ability

• Resourceful and ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Be nice, approachable, and collaborative in work style

• Ability to work with leadership, take feedback, and offer suggestions

• Ability to be kind and respectful

• Willingness to upgrade technology and be efficient

• Ability to evaluate processes and revamp or update as needed
