Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Learning and Development Specialist - Instructor will be the delivery of customer-facing training and learning content designed to develop product knowledge, enhance performance, build skills, and establish exceptional customer service. This position will work in tandem with the training team to perform training assessments, design curriculum, and manage phases of training interventions. This position will develop, design, and implement intentional learning solutions.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Instructs a variety of courses primarily for frontline roles, but will also include other trainings as needed. Course instruction will include a variety of one-on-one training, classroom training, virtual training, and/or mentoring activities
  • Maintains up-to-date records of attendance for all instructed courses
  • Documents timely and accurate assessments of students' acquisition and performance of skills acquired in training
  • Maintains classroom environment conducive to the learning of all attendees
  • Maintains up-to-date training materials and PowerPoint presentations for each class/session
  • Travels to individual markets or locations as needed
  • As a member of the Training Team, may also be involved with:
    • Recording videos/training
    • Developing, maintaining, and evaluating training programs, training procedures, and training manuals
    • Assisting in the rollout of new products and services
    • Routinely evaluating ongoing programs to ensure they reflect any changes
    • Creating and adapting curriculum for a variety of audiences and learning delivery methods
    • Ensuring all training documentation is maintained, up-to-date, and submitted to appropriate departments, managers, and supervisors in a timely manner
    • Working closely with Bank locations, Retail Operations, Audit Department, and other back office departments to identify gaps in training and to develop and deliver learning solutions accordingly
    • Effectively and professionally collaborating and communicating throughout the organization on topics related to training and learning
