The Role - What You'll Do

Join a dynamic global team dedicated to delivering exceptional business consulting solutions in the Capital Markets realm, focusing on OTC derivatives and regulatory reporting. As a member of our elite team of industry experts and transformation leaders, you will engage with various financial institutions and contribute your expertise to a wide array of projects aimed at enhancing performance and compliance.

In this role, you will undertake various responsibilities including requirements management, process consulting, business analysis, and technology strategy. You will troubleshoot complex problems and devise innovative solutions while applying established business consulting methodologies to achieve notable results for our clients.

Current Projects Include:

  • Overseeing OTC derivatives regulatory and transaction reporting programs.
  • Addressing current and forthcoming regulations such as EMIR, MiFID, T+1, DORA, and more.
  • Establishing trading platform requirements and crafting user journeys and experiences.
  • Assessing strategies to develop future state functional and technical architecture tailored to client goals using Design Thinking and Service Blueprinting.
  • Leading digital transformation and integration initiatives across the trading platform lifecycle.
  • Innovating reporting solutions through low code/no code development methods.
  • Managing bespoke and traditional reporting requirements effectively.
  • Partnering with operations teams to identify necessary changes and empower development efforts.
  • Redesigning Operations User Experience to create an Intelligent Ops dashboard featuring KPIs, real-time alerts, SLAs, and easy access to operational systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with business partners to analyze and refine regulatory requirements from federal authorities and the DTCC.
  • Conduct detailed analyses to pinpoint necessary changes or enhancements and prepare comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs) for technology teams.
  • Engage in data analysis to evaluate the implications of regulatory changes.
  • Work tightly with delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation of requirements, translating business needs into clear deliverables.
  • Create user stories in JIRA aligned with business needs.
  • Perform feasibility analyses, define project scopes, propose alternative solutions, and prioritize deliverables strategically.

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering or a related technology field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in management consulting or advisory roles, focusing on technology or operational change initiatives in the Capital Markets industry, particularly in OTC derivatives and regulations such as Dodd Frank and MiFID.
  • Proven ability to define and deliver complex regulatory change programs in the Capital Markets domain.
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills with a track record of building relationships with senior management and CXO-level stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams, integrating both IT and business specialists.
  • Candidates should be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without requiring employer-based visa sponsorship.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on experience in regulatory projects, ideally within the Transaction Reporting sphere, e.g., CFTC/Dodd Frank, ESMA/EMIR, MIFID.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Financial Derivative Products, including both ETD and OTC.
  • An MBA or a postgraduate management degree will be advantageous.
  • Techno-functional business analysis expertise.
  • Experience operating in agile delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with JIRA for requirement gathering and technical analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, Visio).
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, manage multiple projects, and set priorities independently.
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, results-oriented with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of articulating ideas and concerns clearly across various management levels.
  • Experience delivering projects through both Waterfall and Lean Agile methodologies.
  • Willingness to work effectively within cross-cultural teams and support multiple time zones as needed.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in large banks within the Transaction Reporting space.
  • Desirable proficiency in Python/OOP programming for day-to-day data analysis tasks.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing large or complex projects.
