This position will be based out of the warehouse offices in Staunton, VA and assist the DOT Director of Fisher Auto Parts with maintaining compliance qualifications of Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers required by DOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, and State regulations. This position is hourly/full-time position and schedule is Monday through Friday. Starting at $20/hour but negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Qualify new drivers by ensuring credentials, Driver File paperwork, Clearinghouse Queries, and DOT Testing are completed.
  • Coordinate DOT pre-employment drug testing via Foley Carrier Services Platform.
  • Reviewing and approving driver MVRs on at least an annual basis.
  • Coordinate DOT onboarding training with the Risk Services Coordinator.
  • Notify drivers of upcoming document expirations, obtaining renewed documents, and electronically submitting them via Foley Carrier Services Platform.
  • Filing Hazmat Shipping Papers per the HMR's Retention requirements.
  • Manage DOT employment verifications and ensure timely responses.
  • Track DVIR and Roadside Inspection violations for timely repairs and cross-reference repair orders with the proper documentation.
  • Work with the DOT Compliance Director to address driver compliance issues.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining corporate and DOT records.
  • Manage the Driver Compliance Services provided by Foley Carrier Services by leveraging technology, automation, and best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the DOT Compliance Director, Vice President of Risk Services of the FAP Executive Team.
Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Position requires a High School Diploma or appropriate GED equivalent.
  • Combination of education and DOT related experience will be considered.
  • Experience in a similar DOT administrative support role is strongly preferred.
  • Strong preference for prior knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Must be able to multi-task, follow directions, and be open to change.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to be truthful and credible in the workplace.
