Description

Accent Decor is seeking a Quality Assurance Lead responsible for the quality and compliance of goods received from our suppliers. This role ensures that all products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements before distribution. The Quality Assurance Lead will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to identify, resolve, and standardize quality processes. The Quality Assurance Lead will also manage inspection protocols at our warehouses and work with our overseas teams on pre-shipment protocols with our suppliers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain quality control standards and procedures for inspecting received goods, ensuring products meet design, safety, and durability specifications.
  • Manage and oversee inspection processes, including incoming and in-process inspections, sampling, and final product audits to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with global suppliers to ensure that production processes align with company quality expectations, provide feedback on quality issues, and work towards continuous improvement.
  • Ensure products comply with relevant safety regulations, including California Proposition 65, FDA, import regulations, and other product safety standards
  • Address quality issues by conducting root cause analysis, recommending corrective actions, and working with product development, supply chain, and vendors to implement improvements.
  • Maintain accurate QC documentation, inspection records, and reporting on quality metrics, including defect rates, non-conformance issues, and supplier performance.
  • Analyze quality trends and data to identify opportunities for improving product quality and supply chain processes such as packaging improvements and loading processes.
  • Engaging with customer support regarding customer complaints related to product quality, ensuring corrective actions are taken and communicated effectively.
  • Work closely with procurement, product development, and logistics teams aligning on quality expectations and timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality and safety standards, import/export regulatory requirements (e.g. Prop 65, APHIS, FDA) and inspection techniques.
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing robust quality assurance programs is highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
