Description:

As a Medical Technologist - MLT / MT, you will play a vital role in our clinical laboratory, under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Use established lab protocol to perform laboratory tests and correctly log the results of those tests
  • Determine specimen validity in a timely manner
  • Inform clients of recollection protocols if a specimen is rejected
  • Identify, diagnose and repair issues that may arise with the laboratory equipment
  • Verify all test results and ensure that they are correctly matched with the specimen
  • Label and organize all tests appropriately to make sure that they are easily retrievable
Qualifications:
  • Medical Technologist - MLT / MT Degree or equivalent from an accredited university (Associate's or Bachelor's)
  • ASCP Certified or Eligible for Certification
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and quality control methods
  • Hospital or Clinical experience preferred
  • Familiarity with laboratory information systems and computer technology
