Join BioMed Realty's dynamic West Coast Development team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of life science real estate As a Contract Administrator, you'll be at the center of groundbreaking development projects, orchestrating complex construction, design, and consulting contracts while collaborating with innovative project leads and team members who are transforming the biotech landscape across the West Coast.

This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft all contract documents such as construction contracts, design agreements, consulting agreements, master services agreements, amendments, change orders, purchase orders and non-disclosure agreements using company standard templates.
  • Work independently to complete high-volume cradle-to-grave contracts for multiple markets.
  • Interface with internal and external customers, Legal and Risk Management during contract process to ensure strict adherence to company policies.
  • Review redlined contracts and participate in discussions based on level of complexity to achieve final contract version for signature purposes.
  • Track and manage document workflow throughout contract life cycle utilizing contract management software and Adobe Sign.
  • Ensure vendor insurance compliance prior to contract execution.
  • Provide executed contract information to Accounting.
  • Respond to requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain project folders on Box.com.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change according to the needs of the department.

Job Specifications

  • Minimum of three years contract management experience, preferably in commercial real estate and/or construction environment.
  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of education, training and additional experience desired.
  • Notable verbal and written communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic with effective time management skills.
  • Exercise attention to detail and follow-through with the ability to meet critical time deadlines.
  • Experienced critical thinking skills to identify, evaluate and allocate risks.
  • Practice self-initiative to learn independently with minimal supervision.
  • Able to set up, automate and track data and information.
  • Excellent people skills with the talent to build and maintain positive, supportive working relationships in an approachable, friendly demeanor.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines, and to adapt readily to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required.
  • Contract management software: Adobe Sign, Box.com, SharePoint, MRI and Dashboard experience a plus.

Salary Range: $34.00 - $42.00 per hour + bonus + benefits
