We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with expertise in API Connect and DataPower to design, develop, and deploy high-performance services. The ideal candidate will independently analyze, design, and build mission-critical applications that meet customer needs with high availability and low latency. This role requires a strong technical background, collaboration with cross-functional IT teams, and the ability to troubleshoot, recommend, and implement solutions to complex business challenges. A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends is essential to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deploy services using API Connect and DataPower with at least 3 years of hands-on experience.
• Analyze, design, and develop high-volume, low-latency applications to meet mission-critical business needs.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code for complex IT solutions.
• Collaborate with IT specialists to develop and deliver effective solutions aligned with evolving business requirements.
• Conduct discovery and fact-finding to fully understand business problems and opportunities.
• Independently execute assignments to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Evaluate build vs. buy options and provide recommendations to management.
• Troubleshoot development and production issues and provide solutions in collaboration with the project team, vendors, and managers.
• Stay updated on technology trends and IT best practices with a focus on continuous learning and business relevance.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or an advanced degree where required).
• 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• In lieu of a degree, 7+ years of experience in a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with API Connect and DataPower for developing and deploying services.
• Expertise in designing and developing high-availability, low-latency applications.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with mission-critical systems.
• Familiarity with IT best practices and continuous integration/deployment practices.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelors Degree
