Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) specializing in Orthopedics for travel assignments at healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will work with orthopedic teams to provide patient assessments, treatment planning, and pre- and post-operative care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions. This role offers the chance to bring advanced orthopedic expertise to facilities in need of highly skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and diagnose patients with orthopedic conditions, including bone fractures, joint injuries, and degenerative conditions.

Develop and implement treatment plans, collaborating with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare team members.

Conduct pre- and post-operative assessments and educate patients on surgical procedures, recovery plans, and long-term care.

Perform minor procedures within the scope of practice, such as injections and casting.

Monitor patient progress, adjust care plans, and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and follow-up schedules.

Ensure adherence to facility policies, guidelines, and regulatory standards for orthopedic care.

Qualifications:

Licensure: Active and unrestricted APRN license in [State; specify if multi-state licensing is required].

Certification: National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedics (e.g., ONP-C) preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in orthopedic care, including surgical and non-surgical treatments.

Skills: Proficient in patient assessments, orthopedic procedures, and care planning.

Additional Requirements: BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
