Help Desk Support I

The Help Desk Support I is expected to assist end users' technical needs with a high level of customer service. This will be accomplished through helpdesk requests, phone and in person communication. The activities involved will include, but are not limited to, break/fix support, hardware and software installation, end user training, etc. Coordination and communication with the end users and with other team member within IT is critically important.
Responsibilities
- Provides support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access, and hardware issues
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity
- Responds to telephone, email, and online requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem using applicable systems and tools
- May coordinate with other teams or departments to resolve user problems
- Other activities and tasks as assigned.
- 0-2 years of experience in IT field.
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- A+ Certification preferred (experience can substitute for certification).
- Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently in the common language
