The Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for providing efficient service and solutions for the products offered by the Automation division of enVista. The focus will be from the controls system's designing phase through testing, commissioning, and handing the system off to the customer. The applicant should be a well-rounded engineer, team player, critical thinker, and reliable. Must be willing to learn and adapt to multiple environments and projects.

What you will do:

  • Support sales in the proposal stage, concepts and quotes
  • Design and generate electrical drawings for conveying systems
  • Electrical parts procurement and logistics
  • Select and work with control panel builder to ensure on time delivery
  • Develop PLC and HMI programs
  • Select and support electrical installers during installation phase
  • On site testing and commissioning
  • Train operators and support projects after completion
  • Generate final documents
What you will bring:
  • BSEE in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • PLC (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff a plus, Siemens a plus) and HMI (Allen Bradley, Beckhoff a plus) experience
  • Ignition programming is beneficial
  • ACAD experience with electrical panel and schematic design
  • Material Handling Environment, conveyors and robotics
  • Conveyor/Robotics controls system design experience a plus
  • Barcode readers experience (Cognex a plus)
  • Willingness to travel, up to 50%
