Location: Community Hospital, Munster, IN

Shifts: 12P-10:30P or 2P-12:30A

Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend

Holidays: One major holiday

No on-call

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

The technologists are under the general supervision of the special imaging supervisor/director of imaging services, and the clinical direction of the radiology medical director. The technologist will perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required.
  • Current license from the Indiana State Department of Health to operate ionizing radiation equipment.
  • Two years of specialized training/experience
  • CT certification by ARRT required.
  • Maintain CPR certification
  • Siemens experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients/family served
  • Excellent attitude, interpersonal skills and communication abilities necessary to interact with patient, physicians and other hospital associates
