The Inova Health System - Community Health Division is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Women's Ambulatory Clinical Manager to provide support and leadership to a team caring for an underserved population with true need. This position acts as the clinical leader specifically to the Inova Cares for Women Program. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, enriching ambulatory medical setting. The position is primarily located in Falls Church, VA. This position is fulltime Monday - Friday role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees assigned area to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
- Anticipates needs of the patients or families and facilitates effective treatment plans.
- Ensures timely resolution of issues. Works collaboratively with physicians, nursing, therapy and other members of the interdisciplinary team to effect timely and appropriate patient management.
- Analyzes patient outcomes and program trends through an inter-disciplinary approach. Participates in monthly reporting of trends and outcomes that identify patient/client populations at program meetings and management operational meetings.
- Manages, supervises and facilitates the development of staff and oversees the day-to-day tasks/activities in the department. Participates in the interviewing/hiring process by reviewing job profiles, candidate applications and resumes, developing behavioral interview questions, conducting and evaluating interviews in a timely fashion and providing feedback/recommendation in hiring decision. Acknowledges and provides reward/recognition to staff and/or team members.
- Develops and implements educational materials and methods in support of team member abilities to document appropriately to the patients' level of understanding and motivation, as evidenced by chart review, observation and team feedback.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Hours: full-time, M-F, no weekends or nights. Hours are flexible.
- Location: 6400 Arlington Blvd Falls Church VA 22042
- Education: BSN, MSW, MHA or related Bachelor's Degree (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
- Experience: Three years of experience related to the clinical scope. One year of direct supervisor/manager/team lead experience. (4 additional years of experience, in lieu of degree)
- Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association; If BSN, licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
