Our banking client is seeking a QA Manual Tester to join their team. As a QA Manual Tester, you will be part of the testing team supporting compliance-driven projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of compliance-driven projects, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for delivering high-quality products through rigorous testing.

Client is looking for candidates who have experience in banking-related governance, risk, or compliance space and have specific experience conducting manual testing of governance, risk, and compliance applications.

Job Title: QA Manual Tester

Location: New York

Pay Range: $68-72/hour W2

What's the Job?

  • Conduct detailed manual testing of governance, risk, and compliance applications to ensure they meet regulatory and business requirements.

  • Write and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements.

  • In addition, will be eventually asked to utilize Selenium with Java to automate test scripts, focusing on repetitive and critical test cases for quicker execution and accuracy. This role is primarily a manual testing role but the automation experience is a huge plus.

  • Execute automated tests and analyze results, providing detailed defect reports.

  • Identify, report, and track defects using JIRA. Work with development and business teams to resolve issues.

What's Needed?

  • 5+ years of experience as a Manual QA Tester.

  • Strong experience in testing web-based applications, preferably in governance, risk, or compliance environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium for test automation, with proficiency in Java for writing test scripts.

  • Experience using JIRA for defect tracking and Confluence for documentation.

  • Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), particularly Agile/Scrum methodologies.
