We are Hiring: NetOps / Systems Engineer III
Synpact is looking for a Network Operations / Systems Engineer III with a passion for reliability, security, innovation, and innovative technology. Join our team as a NetOps / Systems Engineer III to help us optimize, secure, and elevate our infrastructure, as well as our clients to the next level.
About the Role
In this key role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing our client’s networks and systems environments, managing critical incidents, and collaborating across teams to support strategic projects. You will play a significant role in monitoring performance, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability, contributing to a seamless and secure experience for our users and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Take a leadership role in the design, deployment, and management of networks and server infrastructure for optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network/system issues and provide Level III support during incidents.
- Monitor system health, capacity, and security to proactively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure changes and improvements.
- ssist in creating documentation and procedures for operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement. Network Design and Implementation:
- Collaborate with network architects to design and implement functional company networks. Plan and execute the installation and configuration of networking hardware and software.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and threats.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
- Lead network-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with other IT teams and departments to align network infrastructure with organizational goals.
- Manage and mentor junior network engineering staff.
- Delegate tasks and provide guidance to ensure team efficiency and development.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and upgrades.
- Prepare and present network status reports to senior management.
- Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and industry trends.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance network performance and security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in network operations, systems engineering, or related areas.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, etc.) and system administration
- Ability to design and implement efficient network structures
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Strong experience in managing and optimizing Microsoft Entra, Azure, and various other Microsoft systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, PowerShell, or C++
- Experience with monitoring tools and platforms.
- Understanding and managing cloud services from providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in securing network systems against threats and vulnerabilities
Preferred Certifications :
- CompTIA Security+, Network +, Cloud +
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
- CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP +)
- VMware Certified Professional - Network Virtualization (VCP-NV): For skills in network virtualization
- Advanced certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Efficiently managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- Understanding of wireless networking technologies and their implementation
