Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Bridge Engineer. This role will sit in our Charleston, WV office. Responsibilities include: Drafting and designing transportation bridge plans using various software programs, such as AASHTO, BrR, MDX, LEAP Bridge Preparing and modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and designs Leading QA/QC tasks; developing construction cost estimates Attending client meetings A valid license and some travel will be required The successful candidate will have all of the following Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited college or university AND at least six years of relevant work experience PE license in any state (preferably West Virginia), or the ability to obtain within six months of hire The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: Preparing construction plans for bridges using MicroStation software Structure layout and geometry WVDOH experience including Structural Directive and Standard Specifications QA/QC for bridge projects At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
