Your Responsibilities:
  • Source and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for plumbing projects.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor inbound orders to the warehouse to ensure the team knows when to expect the delivery and which project it belongs to.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and resolve any issues related to supply quality or delivery.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field staff to understand material needs and project requirements.
  • Assist project managers with the collection of submittal data as required.
  • Process purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier interactions.
  • Review all month end invoices with accounting to ensure accuracy
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent, Procurement Specialist, or similar role in the commercial construction or plumbing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and identify potential suppliers.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
