Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Specialty: Acute Rehab Unit

Experience: Minimum 1 year in a rehab environment preferred
License: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing
Certifications: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required
Must-Have: Active nursing license and BLS certification
Job Description:
- Protect, promote, and restore health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure.
- Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum.
- Assess and support physical symptoms, provide psychological support to patients, friends, and families, and mentor assigned team members.
- Promote best practices and maintain professional disposition at all times.
- Provide quality competent care, following best practice standards, achieving care goals and quality outcomes.
- Maintain confidential status of medical records and ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation.
- Work autonomously as part of the care team, delegating appropriate responsibilities, and identifying patient care needs.
- Create a compassionate, service-oriented environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and caregivers.
- Share knowledge with coworkers and assist in the orientation of new staff, educating patients and their families to meet their health needs.
- Participate in quality and process improvements to attain clinical excellence.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, complying with policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Enhance professional growth by utilizing current evidence-based information and keeping abreast of state and national accreditation, regulatory and safety standards.
- Advocate for patients and their caregivers to positively influence value-driven and effective nursing care within the healthcare continuum.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently traversing corridors, occasionally remaining in a stationary position for up to 4 hours.
- Frequent operation of office and medical equipment.
- Regularly lift, move, or carry objects/persons up to 35 pounds.
- Occasionally position oneself to lower heights under 4 feet, stooping or squatting.
- Requires near acuity vision and coordination of hands, fingers, feet, and eyes.
- Requires basic math skills, understanding complex problems, organizing thoughts, and conversing verbally and in written form.
- The environment includes frequent emotional stress and occasional exposure to blood-borne pathogens, contagious diseases, and chemical exposure.
Additional Information:
- Candidates must produce a negative drug screen for all panels to work in a drug-free environment.
- Guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation.
Comments:
- Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty.
- Will accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
