Responsible for providing high quality direct patient care and assisting providers and other clinical staff with patient care and other clinical and administrative duties in a professional manner. Ability to competently and skillfully perform all clinical and clerical functions including, but not limited to: vital signs, patient interview, electronic documentation, screening tools, lab/specimen prep, point of care collection and processing, filing, processing records, answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments and processing referrals. Must provide age-appropriate care in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the patient served.

Advocare Moorestown Family Practice with two office locations takes pride in building close relationships with our patients. We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant who has front desk and clinical experience to become part of our team You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to help and keep the office running efficiently and smoothly and assure our patients get the best possible medical care.

Four-day work week = 40 hours and occasional Saturday morning hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
  • Check in/out patients through EMR system (eClinical Works)
  • Verify patient demographics & insurance information
  • Collect appropriate copays
  • Referrals and Prior Authorizations
  • Strong Ability to multitask while answering phones and assisting patients
  • Refill medications when applicable
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
  • Escort patient to exam rooms & prepare patient for exam including taking height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, history, chief complaint, and medication reconciliation.
  • Perform EKG’s
  • Administer vaccines & run in-house labs
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in medical office- administrative/clinical (Required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and service oriented
  • EMR experience
  • Team player
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to travel to both locations (Moorestown/Voorhees)
Education:
  • High School or equivalent (Required)
  • Certified/Registered Medical Assistant ( Required)
Benefit conditions:

Salary: $18.00 per hour
