New Patient Coordinator

Description:

New Patient Coordinator will be responsible for answering phone calls for incoming new patients. reviewing incoming referrals and auditing the information to ensure all info is accurate, will work to obtain authorization if relevant. Will call the patient and go over new patient screening form/intake and then schedule the patient for appointments. Will follow up with sending information to the patient and then scanning information into the EMR/Charts.

Will also act as back up to front desk where they will be checking in patients, collect copays, checking out patients/reviewing doc notes for next steps and answering primary phone line. Main responsibility would be reviewing incoming referrals, registering patients, and scheduling new patient consults.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma

Must have:

  • 1-2 years of related experience in a healthcare organization and/or medical experience

  • Computer proficient in navigating multiple screens website

  • Strong customer service

  • Proven job tenure in past roles

  • Attention to details

  • Ability to learn quickly and independently

  • Work well within a team to work through quotas

The preferred candidate will have the ability to accomplish both individual and team goals and must keep patient satisfaction at the forefront of all activities. Strong computer skills, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to multitask are desired employee traits. Prior medical office experience is preferred but not required.
