Summary

The IT Support Specialist maintains computer equipment and services utilized by all employees and operations of the organization, providing technical support and ensuring the whole company runs smoothly.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support to support desk issues and service requests.
  • Utilize remote tools or face-to-face presence to respond to user requests for assistance with software, hardware, or networking issues.
  • Configure and deploy computers and other hardware for new employees or to replace outdated equipment by installing and configuring appropriate software and network access.
  • Maintain up-to-date user directories for users of various network applications.
  • Work with vendors to identify and address software/hardware/network issues reported by end users.

Education and Experience

An associate degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience is required. Strong support and technical experience in Windows365 environments along with Mac experience is preferred.

Language Skills

Must be able to read and interpret documents; write employee communication and routine business correspondence; speak and present effectively before a group of peers and communicate with a broad range of audiences from executive management to production employees. Must also be able to explain technical problems and solutions clearly to all end users of the business.

Reasoning Skills

This role will need to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete or abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to work effectively and efficiently without supervision while utilizing time management and multi-tasking skills is required. Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations to leverage a patient and methodical approach. This role also needs to be self-motivated to learn and seek out new information in a rapidly changing environment.

Working Conditions
  • This position supports other facilities throughout the company, which will require travel and potential overnight stays.
