Job Summary:

Under general supervision monitor production line inventory and strategically replenish materials in an extremely fast paced production environment. Load outgoing shipments according to established policies and procedures. Act as back-up for receiver. Use discretion and independent judgement to develop a plan for staging raw materials for production, racking finished goods, staging finished goods for shipment, racking inbound raw materials. Use and operation of and Stand-Up Counterbalanced double reach truck Stand-Up Narrow Aisle double high reach truck is required to perform job functions. Assist in plant operations as needed in accordance with state and federal regulations, company policies and procedures, including policies related to food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all required AIB food safety and quality modules on an annual basis or within one year from start date and adheres to all company safety and quality standards and procedures identified in the areas covering GMP's HACCP, FDA, OSHA, AIB and BRC.
  • Responsible for training new department colleagues on warehouse operations including tracking methods, scanning, inventory procedures, FIFO and general Company procedures/protocols
  • Pick and Stage customer orders, load outgoing shipments while documenting inventory movements, expiration & lot/serial numbers using handheld scanners
  • Strategically plan, stage and continually replenish materials in an extremely fast paced production environment, while documenting inventory movements, expiration date & lot/serial with handheld scanner.
  • Clean and maintain warehouse areas.
  • Follow FIFO (First In First Out) inventory control practices for shipping and production needs, while monitoring expiration dates.
  • Transfer finished goods from production lines to storage locations while documenting inventory movements, expiration & lot/serial numbers using handheld scanners.
  • Unload and receive incoming shipments of raw materials while documenting inventory movements, expiration & lot/serial numbers using handheld scanners following inspection, CofA & shelf life rules of QA department.
  • Perform inventory adjustments using cycle count functionality in handheld scanner.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts
  • Safely operate the following equipment Stand-Up Counterbalanced double reach truck, electric rider pallet jack, and Stand-Up Narrow Aisle double high reach truck.
  • Assist other departments with pick-ups and deliveries.
  • General Warehouse Operations.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum two years of experience operating material handling equipment and handheld scanner in a shipping/receiving environment.
  • Ability to conceptualize and plan for staging and movement of inbound and outbound materials within Company protocols
  • Ability to train new and existing material handlers on protocols for freezer storage and general Company protocols
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and push/pull/reach above shoulder height for heavy objects weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to read, write and count in order to correctly fill orders and conduct accurate inventory.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • More than one-year experience operating a handheld scanner for inventory record maintenance.
Working Conditions:
  • Position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending and moving of heavy 60 pounds weight material in difficult work positions.
  • Position requires ability to stand, judge distance of over 40 feet and accurately engage fork truck forks with palletized inventory and operate fork truck for 8 hour shift.
  • Position requires work to be performed in a freezer environment of minus 10 degrees for 8 hour shifts with minimal breaks.
