As a Residential Advocate you will be responsible for providing support and overseeing our individuals served in their own home and out in the community. You will provide support as specified in their Individual Support Plan which could include accompaniment to medical appointments, recreational activities and community resources. You will also assist with everyday tasks such as personal hygiene, household tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation as well as providing support and training on money management, safety and wellness.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and evaluate Individualized Support Plan outcomes and objectives.
- Provide support and supervision to individuals served while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Uses individualized techniques to promote community inclusion and teach everyday living skills to those supported.
- Participate as a team member in mandatory staff meetings.
- Participate and contribute to department and agency as an active team member.
- Maintain professional relationship with individuals, families, community members, and staff.
- Represents self and agency in a professional manner while in the community.
- Maintains accurate daily and monthly paperwork and meets submission deadlines for paperwork.
- Must be flexible, reliable, dependable and have the ability to multitask.
- Must be able to manage and embrace change.
- Able to meet competency with all required agency trainings.
- Must be consistently at work and on time.

- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.

- Some experience in providing direct support to individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities is preferred but not required.
EFFECTIVE October 1st starting wage is $20.00 per hour
