CT Technologist, Relief: Shelby, MI

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: Schedule | Hours: Per-diem/ Relief Location: Shelby, MI What will the CT Technologist do: Greet patients and explain procedures. Answer questions and instructs patient during procedures. Perform CT scan and teach other staff procedures according to established protocol. Position patients for exam. Determine correct scanning protocol and exposure factor for exam. Monitor image and modify imaging protocol, keeping dose reduction a priority. Label scans and review and submit studies in PACS. Prepare contrast media and administer to patients. Maintain inventory and perform minor equipment repairs or adjustments. Maintain patient logs and CTDI reporting. Keep supervisors and staff informed about relevant issues. What will the CT Technologist need: Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Society of Nuclear Medicine. CT experience preferred.
