Position Overview- Lead Dietitian

In partnership with the Nutrition Manager, the Lead Dietitian creates and maintains an environment in which the dietitians at this location feel valued and empowered to provide excellent nutritional care to the clients. In addition to the lead responsibilities, the Lead Dietitian continues to provide direct client care through individual client care and group facilitation.

How Lead Dietitians Empower Recovery
  • Providing direct client care through individual client care and group facilitation.
  • Maintaining a modified clinical caseload following the requirements of the Registered Dietitian job description.
  • Demonstrating case conceptualization with the principled application of foundational treatment modalities and exercising strong clinical judgment in conceptualizing nutrition care.
  • Supporting in assessing appropriate staffing needs and coordination of schedules along with the nutrition leadership.
  • Assisting nutrition leadership in scheduling and leading dietitian team meetings to disseminate information, discuss, and support in resolving issues.
  • Supporting and mentoring a team of registered dietitians and nutrition staff, including scheduling, training Support in providing training for dietitians and other front-line staff on nutrition-related activities (e.g., therapeutic meals)
  • Completing assigned projects relating to the Nutrition and Culinary Services department.
  • Maintaining and enhancing knowledge of current clinical practice, strategies, and developments through participation in professional organization, attending related seminars, workshops, and conferences, and reviewing the literature.
  • Maintaining at all times the confidentiality of former and current clients’ protected health information, as directed by state and federal law and Accanto policy.
  • Additionally, maintaining confidentiality in any position with access to employee personal information.
  • Maintaining at all times the confidentiality of proprietary information, which includes but is not limited to, trade secrets, sensitive company information, and generally any company information not made available to the public.


Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience working as a licensed dietitian
• Commission on Dietetic Registration-Registered Dietitian required
• Licensed Dietitian in the state of employment required
• Must have valid driver’s license in the state of employment
• Leadership and eating disorder experience preferred.
