Evolver Federal is seeking a Senior (.NET/ColdFusion) Application Developer & Application Architect to support the work and projects of our client in Washington D.C. MUST be able to pass a USCP Background Check.

The role's primary function will be to work with the software development team to support and enhance existing software applications written in ColdFusion, Java, and .NET using SQL Server and Oracle databases in the backend.

Responsibilities

  • This position requires excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to interface effectively with key stakeholders and demonstrated ability to present material effectively to all levels of management.
  • Ability to work with non-technical customers and create software solutions based on their requirements.
  • Ability to work with subject-matter experts, analyze existing solutions, databases and reports and make or suggest improvements, as needed.
  • Ability to work productively without being micromanaged.
  • Ability to work with a team of software engineers, test automation engineers, designers, and product owners to bring our teams conceptual solutions to life in a mature Agile/Azure DevOps environment
  • Update developer technical reference documentation and project WIKIs
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, enhance and promote best-practices, and mentor other team members
  • Capable of leading projects and teams
  • Experience working in an agile environment with SCRUM or Kanban (Preferred)
  • Identify innovative solutions for legacy applications and adapt to emerging technologies for new requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience with web development using Microsoft tools to include Visual Studio, VS Code, Azure Data Studio, Azure DevOps, Microsoft IIS Server, and SQL Server Management Studio
  • 5 years of experience in Windows Desktop applications using WPF, UWP, WinUI, Maui, or Uno
  • 5 years of experience with database design fundamentals, including table design and normalization, query writing using SQL, and database and query optimization
  • 5 years of experience with SSRS, SSIS, and other ETL tools
  • 5 years of experience with Azure DevOps management and operations (prefer On-Prem) to include Build and Release pipelines
  • 5 years of experience working in a team in an agile work environment
  • 10 years of experience developing web applications using Microsoft C#
  • 5 years of front-end development experience with JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, CSS and XHTML, preferably HTML5/CSS3
  • 5 Experience with multiple back-end languages (CFML, ASP, JSP, Java) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular.js, React, Node.js, Blazor)
  • 5 years of experience with RestAPI end-points
  • 5 years of experience with database engineering, and manipulating relational databases such as SQL Server and Oracle
  • 5 years of experience with jQuery and at least one additional modern JavaScript SPA framework, such as React (Preferred), Vue, Angular, or Blazor (plus)
  • 5 years of experience with Windows ecosystem infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, Load-Balancing, Windows server maintenance as related to .NET
  • 5 years of experience debuging web pages using browser developer tools
  • 5 years of experience developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.
  • 3 years of experience with Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control
  • 3 years of experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and.Net Core or above
  • 3 years of experience developing in Visual Studio with Azure DevOps
  • 3 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Entity Framework Core
  • 3 years of experience creating attractive, highly user-friendly, reactive user interfaces using Bootstrap 5 and/or Material UI
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 13 years of applicable experience, or an additional 5 years of experience in lieu of degree(s)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to do user interface design
  • Ability to conduct requirements analysis
  • A solid understanding of the principles of GIT
  • Knowledge of Node Package Manager (NPM) and WebPack
  • Understanding of LESS or SASS
  • Ability to analyze application requirements
  • Understanding of Web Accessibility and be able to demonstrate work that conforms to accessibility guidelines
  • Ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize IIS installations/applications
  • Knowledge of emerging web technologies
  • Knowledge of cloud, containerized app development using Docker/Podman
  • SCRUM Master certification
  • CompTIA Security+
