To maintain health records in such a way that they are complete and available for ongoing care of patients and meet Quality Assurance (QA) Standards.
Separate all correspondence according to page count and single or double sided.
• Scan and Index all correspondence into patient's charts, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Audit check performed on documents to ensure accurate and complete scanning.
• Follow all HIPPA disclosures of all patient records
• Utilization of equipment, ie. Scanner and Indexing software.
• Ability to multitask.
• Interacts with physicians, staff, patients and outside vendors
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Performs other related duties as required
High School graduate with two years of relevant work experience.
• Medical Terminology and office procedures required
Computer and Keyboard skills required
• This position requires the ability and knowledge to perform daily tasks in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of Medical terminology
• Ability to maintain patient confidential information
• Ability to display excellent customer service skills
• Ability to apply good oral and written communication skills.
