Senior Medical Sonographer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Medical Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures and train and orient staff members as assigned. The role involves utilizing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, selecting appropriate transducer frequency and diameter, using ancillary devices, and calibrating and adjusting ultrasound equipment. The Senior Medical Sonographer also acts as a resource to other staff sonographers and remains knowledgeable about technological advances in the field. This position will require collaboration with referring physicians, contribution of technical and professional knowledge to final diagnostic impressions, and providing technical and nursing aid for surgical biopsy and aspiration procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of post-graduate experience
- Graduate from an approved ultrasound training program recognized by CAHEA or equivalent related experience
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, teamwork, and written communication
