We are currently hiring a Product Owner who will join our team on-site with an agricultural design and manufacturing customer in Cary, NC. This person will report to Actalent management as well as the customer manager and will be supporting the development of a next generation software for inverters. Job Responsibilities: As a Product Owner in the Controls Software and Modules team (CSM), you will develop and communicate a clear vision and strategy for a line of inverters, which are used in large off-highway vehicles. Collaborate closely with project leaders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the CSM software team. Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the CSM software team, facilitating effective communication and decision-making. Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the current project priorities and technical requirements. Write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team. Lead sprint planning sessions, ensuring the team is focused on delivering high-priority tasks. Monitor the progress of the development team, addressing any roadblocks and ensuring timely delivery of features. Define and enforce quality standards for embedded controls systems to ensure they meet the rigorous demands of power electronics testing. Work with the team to develop robust testing and validation procedures. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the CSM team. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in embedded systems and power electronics. Maintain comprehensive documentation of product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. Provide regular updates and reports to management on the status of embedded controls system development and testing activities. Skills: power electronics, electrical engineering, systems engineering, heavy equipment, automotive industry Top Skills Details: power electronics,electrical engineering,systems engineering Required Skills & Qualifications: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science 5+ years of combined experience with embedded software systems, preferably in the transportation or off-highway heavy equipment industry Knowledge of power inverter theory, operation, and end use applications Experience working within an Agile methodology in a lead role Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly define requirements that are unambiguous and testable.
